Book Signing with Lawrence Hill

Lawrence Hill (who cut his teeth writing for the Winnipeg Free Press) surged to international fame with his multi-award-winning novel, The Book of Negroes. He’s back with a new novel, inspired by the survival stories of undocumented refugees around the world. The Illegal tells of Keita Ali, a young marathon runner who flees his repressive homeland for a better life, only to struggle in a new country that does not want him. A powerful and timely story, The Illegal has already been optioned for a feature film directed by Clement Virgo, who directed The Book of Negroes mini-series. Hill will be on-hand at McNally Robinson Booksellers, signing copies of his new novel.
