Tuesday May 01 2018 7:00 pm, Winnipeg, Grant Park in the Atrium

Join Susanna Kearsley and Genevieve Graham at this event presented by Simon & Schuster Canada as they read and discuss their latest works with host Kelly Bowen. Co-presented by the Winnipeg International Writers Festival as part of our collaborative Spring Literary Series.

From the bestselling author of A Desperate Fortune and The Firebird comes Susanna Kearsley’s Bellewether: an entrancing new novel of love, war, and historical intrigue.

Genevieve Graham, bestselling author of Tides of Honour and Promises to Keep, returns with Come from Away, a poignant novel about a young couple caught on opposite sides of the Second World War.

A former museum curator, Susanna Kearsley brings her passion for research and travel to her novels, weaving modern-day and historical intrigue. She won the prestigious Catherine Cookson Fiction Award for her novel Mariana, the 2010 Romantic Times Book Review’s Reviewer’s Choice Award for Best Historical Fiction novel for The Winter Sea, was shortlisted for a 2012 RITA Award for The Rose Garden, and was a finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel from the Crime Writers of Canada for Every Secret Thing. Genevieve Graham is passionate about breathing life back into Canadian history through tales of love and adventure. She lives near Halifax, Nova Scotia. Visit her website or on Twitter.

Kelly BowenHost Kelly Bowen attended the University of Manitoba where she earned a graduate degree in veterinary physiology and spent many years happily working as a research scientist in the agriculture industry. (None of which, of course, has anything to do with writing romance novels, except, perhaps when there are chickens and horses involved in the plot.) Her writing stemmed from her lifelong obsession with history, a weakness for a good love story and after her first child was born, she sat down to do what she’d also wanted to do – write a novel. A RITA Award winner and finalist, she currently resides in Winnipeg with her husband and sons who are wonderfully patient and supportive of the writing process. Except, that is, when they need a goalie for street hockey.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
