Catherine Hunter

Catherine Hunter, poetry editor of The Muses Company press for ten years, has recorded a spoken word CD, and published several collections of poetry, including Latent Heat, winner of the Manitoba Book of the Year Award. She is an accomplished novelist as well, writing both mysteries like Where Shadows Burn and Queen of Diamonds, and literary fiction like the family saga After Light. Her latest poetry collection, St. Boniface Elegies (Signature), traces relationships with family and community through poems about travel, love, illness, work, and the writing life.

Hunter lives in Winnipeg, and teaches English and creative writing at the University of Winnipeg.
