Christian Guay-Poliquin

Christian Guay-Poliquin was born in Saint-Armand, Quebec, and now lives in Montreal. He is a renovator and writer, with several French titles to his credit, including this year’s release Le poids de la neige. His first novel, Les fil des kilomètres (La Peuplade) was a bestseller in Quebec, and now appears in English as Running on Fumes (Talon Books), translated by Jacob Homel. Set in an unnamed post-apocalyptic setting, the novel is a lyrical blend of the contemporary and the classico- mythical, with a generous helping of road movie, as an anonymous mechanic jumps into his beat-up car and drives east, journeying 4,736 kilometres to reach his dying father.
