JonArno Lawson

JonArno Lawson has written numerous books for children and adults, and received many prizes for his work. He is a four-time winner of the Lion and Unicorn Award for Excellence in North American Children’s Poetry, and his wordless picture book Sidewalk Flowers, created with illustrator Sydney Smith, won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Children’s Illustrated Book. His latest books are the picture books Uncle Holland (Groundwood), about a charmingly wayward family member, and Leap! (Kids Can Press), a circular story poem full of action words, as well as a book for adults, But It’s So Silly: A Cross-cultural Collage of Nonsense, Play, and Poetry (Wolsak & Wynn). He lives in Toronto.
