Leif Norman has been writing things down since he could hold a pencil, but most of it was nonsense and unfit for public consumption. Poetry seemed like a good place to explore—short attention span, tight condensed thoughts, self indulgence—that seemed like something to grip a pencil for! He stumbled out of the chemistry section of the University of Winnipeg library to find himself staring into a dark room full of people, and he’s never looked back. Leif Norman is a member of the 2008 Winnipeg Slam Team, which is headed to the national competition in Calgary this fall.
