An Evening with Emma Donoghue

Winnipeg International Writers Festival has teamed up with co-presenters McNally Robinson Booksellers for a special Fall Literary Series. Over these events spanning September, October and November we’ll be exploring a wide variety of the best literature from Canada and beyond.

Host Méira Cook will join bestselling author Emma Donoghue to discuss AKIN (HarperCollins Canada), Donoghue’s first contemporary novel since Room. A retired New York professor’s life is thrown into chaos when he takes his great-nephew to the French Riviera, in hopes of uncovering his own mother’s wartime secrets.
