Talking Reconciliation: Where to From Here?
Indigenous writing is surging to the top of awards lists—and reading lists, both personal and academic—across Turtle Island. Meet three young writers who are offering authenticity, challenge, insight, and beauty in their work: Anishinaabe playwright and actor Cliff Cardinal, Kwakwaka’wakw-Métis writer Lucy Haché, and Two-Spirit Ojicree writer and scholar Joshua Whitehead. They will share their thoughts about the various functions of storytelling, the connections between writing and social change, and the developing relationship between Indigenous and settler peoples here in Canada.
