Will Aitken

Will Aitken was born in Indiana and came to Canada to attend McGill University in 1972. He has worked as a writer and broadcaster for The Globe & Mail, the National Post, CBC, the BBC, and National Public Radio in the US, and published three novels and the non-fiction book Death in Venice: A Queer Film Classic. His latest book, Antigone Undone (University of Regina), is a mesmerizing account of the creative and destructive power of great art, and has been described as a “thoughtful and disturbing memoir [that] poignantly illustrates how, for good or ill, the power of art can transform human understanding” (Quill & Quire). He lives in Montreal.
