Ken Babstock

Ken Babstock was born in Newfoundland and raised in the Ottawa Valley. From the start, he has garnered critical acclaim for his poetry, winning a National Magazine Award in his twenties. He has since published several collections, and his work has been translated into six languages, including Dutch, Serbo-Croatian, and Latvian. He has several awards to his name, including the Milton Acorn Award for Mean, the Trillium Book Award for Airstream Land Yacht, and the Griffin Poetry Prize for Methodist Hatchet. His latest collection, On Malice (Coach House), was written after a year-long residency in Berlin. This fall, Babstock is relocating from Toronto to Vancouver to teach at the University of British Columbia.
