Jenny Heijun Wills

Jenny Heijun Wills was born in Seoul, South Korea, and was adopted and raised in a white family in southern Ontario. In 2008 she reunited with her family in Asia. Currently teaching at the University of Winnipeg, she is co-president of the Alliance for the Study of Adoption and Culture and serves as an editorial board member for the literary studies journal, ARIEL. This year sees the publication of Older Sister. Not Necessarily Related (McClelland & Stewart), a memoir of kinship and culture rediscovered, describing the painful ripple effects that follow a child’s removal from a family, and the rewards that can flow from both struggle and forgiveness.
