THIN AIR KIDS / Livres en fête juniors is the new addition to our programming. In the middle of February, we celebrate I Love to Read Months with three days of readings and book-related activities in English and French, for kids of all ages—and their families. We’re investing in future writers, dreamers, leaders, citizens!
THIN AIR KIDS / Livres en fête juniors (Feb 13-16, 2025)
THIN AIR KIDS / Livres en fête juniors (Feb 13-16, 2025) is a four-day celebration of terrific Canadian books for kids, tweens, and teens, in various locations around Winnipeg. On Thursday and Friday, seven different branches of the Winnipeg Public Library will host a featured writer sharing their work with young readers. On Saturday, we’re presenting family book fun at the Bill and Helen Norrie Library with Linda Trinh, a graphic novel workshop at the Millennium Library for teens with Jen Storm & Alice RL, and an evening reading at Raven’s End with YA novelist Mark Morton. Sunday morning starts with Plume’s Pancakes and Pins at Uptown Alleys, and in the afternoon, Mark Morton presents a special writing workshop for teens at Artspace. Join us!! Weekend events are open to the public; all are free except Plume’s Pancakes and Pins.
