
Thin AIR Kids 2025
February 13 – 16
THIN AIR KIDS (February 13 – 16) kicks off with a flurry of readings in Winnipeg libraries on Thursday and Friday (February 13 & 14), and continues Saturday and Sunday (February 15 & 16) with events for families, workshops for teens, an evening reading for teens and adults, and a rowdy family bowling-and-breakfast extravaganza. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Maureen Fergus
Maureen Fergus has written dozens of books for kids of all ages. Her books have been translated into many languages, optioned for television and adapted for stage. Maureen’s picture books include the critically acclaimed Buddy and Earl series, The Reptile Club, Invisibill and the Day My Mom Came to Kindergarten, a Blue Spruce winner.

Brett D. Huson
Hetxw’ms Gyetxw, also known as Brett D. Huson (he/him/his), is a proud member of the Gitxsan Nation from the Northwest Interior of British Columbia, Canada. He is the Founder and President of Aluu’taa, an Indigenous research and research support hub. A multi-award-winning author, Brett’s “Mothers of Xsan” series provides a profound insight into Gitxsan culture and knowledge.

Jen Storm
Jen Storm (she/her/hers) is an Ojibwe writer from Couchiching First Nation in Northwestern Ontario. She lives and raises her family, which includes her son, River, and stepson, Axel, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jen completed Deadly Loyalties, her first novel, at age fourteen and has continued writing ever since.
