Zoey Roy

Zoey Roy is a Cree-Dene-Métis spoken word artist, educator, filmmaker, and community-builder who works to facilitate understanding, compassion, and authentic expression in both Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth. She holds an education degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is currently enrolled at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. She has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, the National Aboriginal Achievement Award from the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, a Woman of Distinction Award in Saskatoon, the 3M National Student Fellowship from the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and the Indspire Award for her innovative approaches to Community Engagement and Education. Roy lives in Saskatoon.
