Michael Minor

Michael Minor is originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario with strong ties to Peterborough and St. John’s. He is a settler scholar studying and teaching decolonization through Indigenous literature. Michael recently earned a PhD in English Literature from the University of Manitoba. He writes reviews for CV2 as well as the Winnipeg Review. His poetry has appeared in the Antigonish Review and CV2. His debut collection, Learning to love a river (Signature Editions), trains a steady gaze on his hometown of Thunder Bay, unpacking the beauty, the history, and the ongoing cultural fractures. Minor lives in Winnipeg and teaches in the University of Manitoba’s Inner City Social Work program.
