Lisa Moore

Lisa Moore’s story collection Open won the Canadian Authors Association Jubilee Award for Short Stories and was nominated for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, establishing her as a major voice in Canadian fiction. Her novels have been equally celebrated. Alligator was also shortlisted for the Giller Prize, February won Canada Reads, and Caught was shortlisted for both the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize and the Giller Prize. Her first YA novel, Flannery (Anansi), introduces us to a teenager who makes a love potion for a school project, and has to deal with the fallout when rumors that it actually works go viral. Moore lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
