Mike Grandmaison

Mike Grandmaison’s photography has been published worldwide in magazines, calendars, and books. He worked for the Canadian Forest Service in Edmonton and Winnipeg for twenty years and, since turning to photography full-time in 1996, he has published five collections of photographs, including Canada, with text by Shelagh Rogers. In 2007 Grandmaison was awarded second prize in the Northern Lights Awards Canada competition for Excellence in Travel Journalism. His newest book, Mike Grandmaison’s Prairie and Beyond (Turnstone), is a stunning visual celebration of the varied landscape of the prairie provinces. Grandmaison lives in Winnipeg, where he has recently opened The Canadian Gallery.
