Teri Vlassopoulos

Teri Vlassopoulos’ fiction has appeared in Room Magazine, Joyland, Little Fiction, and various other North American journals, as well as in her story collection Bats or Swallows.  Her debut novel, Escape Plans (Invisible), the story of a Greek-Canadian family, is a deft exploration of how and why things come to be as they are. In the novel, Niko Kiriakos leaves his family behind when he returns to Greece to take over his family’s shipping fleet. Following his sudden disappearance, his wife, Anna, and daughter, Zoe, struggle with issues of loyalty, identity and what it means to be a family. Vlassopoulos lives in Toronto.
