Raza Naeem

Raza Naeem is a social scientist, book critic, and an award-winning translator and dramatic reader. He studied Political Economy at the University of Leeds in UK, and Middle Eastern History and Anthropology at the University of Arkansas. Over the past decade, he has reported from Egypt, Yemen and Turkey. He curated the first-ever edition of Banned Books Week in Pakistan in September 2014. He is currently the President of the Progressive Writers Association in Lahore, Pakistan, where he is engaged as Instructor in History. His most recent work is an introduction to the reissued edition of Abdullah Hussein’s classic partition novel The Weary Generations (HarperCollins India).
