Patrick deWitt

Patrick deWitt’s last novel, The Sisters Brothers, won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction, the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, and the Stephen Leacock Medal, and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, the Walter Scott Prize, and the Scotiabank Giller Prize. It was published in 29 countries. His new novel, Undermajordomo Minor (House of Anansi), is a love story, an adventure story, and an ink-black comedy of manners about a young man who accepts employment at the foreboding Castle Von Aux, home to polite theft, bitter heartbreak, domestic misery, and cold-blooded murder. Born in Vancouver, deWitt now lives in Portland, Oregon.
