Jim Lynch

Jim Lynch grew up near Seattle, Washington. As a journalist, he wrote for newspapers in Washington, Alaska, Virginia, and Washington DC. His debut novel, The Highest Tide, was a bestseller in England and won the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award, and his second, Border Songs, won the Washington State Book Award for Fiction. His third novel, Truth Like the Sun, about the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, received rave reviews, with comparisons to classic films like Citizen Kane and Chinatown. His latest novel, Before the Wind (Bond Street Books), is a grand saga of a sailing-obsessed family. He lives with his wife in Olympia, Washington.
