Alex Boyd

Alex Boyd is a Canadian essayist, editor, critic, and author. He has written two poetry collections, Making Bones Walk (winner of the Gerald Lampert Award) and The Least Important Man. He hosted the IV Lounge Reading Series in Toronto and also established Northern Poetry Review, a site for poetry articles and reviews. He helped launch the Best Canadian Essays series with Tightrope Books, co-editing the first two collections. His first novel, Army of the Brave and Accidental (Nightwood), is a retelling of The Odyssey, recasting Homer’s epic as a modern fable about relationships, friendship, parenthood, illness, and time travel. Alex Boyd lives in Toronto.
