Lucy Haché is a writer and adventurer of Kwakwaka’wakw-Métis and Scottish-Irish descent. She grew up in Tsulquate, a small First Nations Community on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. The first book in her Overhead Series is Clouds, an intimate exploration of identity and self-awareness through personal and ancestral relationships to the sea, forest, and sky. Stars, the second book in the series, continues those questions with a focus on the sky and stars. Both are delicate, lyrical, and beautifully-illustrated. Haché also writes about contemporary and historical First Nations issues. She lives in Port Hardy, BC.
