Kim Anderson is a Cree-Metis researcher, writer and educator who has published poetry and fiction as well as scholarly work. Her interests revolve around aboriginal issues, particularly women’s health, family and leadership roles. She co-edited, with Bonita Lawrence, Strong Women Stories: Native Vision and Community Survival, and has two books of her own: A Recognition of Being: Reconstructing Native Womanhood; and her new release, Life Stages and Native Women: Memory, Teachings and Story Medicine (U of Manitoba Press). Anderson has a doctorate in history, and is Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Women’s Studies at the University of Guelph.
