John Zada

John Zada is a freelance writer and editor based in Toronto. His work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Guardian, The Telegraph, Travel + Leisure, BBC, CBC, and Los Angeles Review of Books. As a documentary filmmaker, he worked on such projects as “Up at Dawn: The Working Children of Egypt” and “Canada’s Dark Secret,” about Canada’s residential school system. This year sees the publication of his first book, In the Valleys of the Noble Beyond: In Search of the Sasquatch (Greystone), a work of narrative non-fiction which cuts across questions of human perception, scientific inquiry, Indigenous traditions, the environment, and the power and desire of the human imagination to believe in—or reject—something largely unseen.
