John Nadler

John Nadler is a contributing correspondent to CanWest Newspapers, Canada’s largest newspaper chain, and writes for Variety magazine. His articles have appeared in Time, Maclean’s, Canadian Business, The Ottawa Citizen, The Gazette (Montreal), The National Post, and The Independent (UK). His history of one the world’s first commando units, The Perfect Hell: The True Story of the Black Devils, the Forefathers of the Special Forces, was published in 2005. His new book, Valour Road (Penguin), details the lives and social context of three young men, all residents of Pine Street in Winnipeg, who independently received the Victoria Cross for their bravery in the First World War. Nadler lives in Hungary.
