*Submissions Closed* Fantasmagoriana 2
Calling all gothic and horror fiction writers!
We’re seeking four writers for our second annual overnight writing event, Fantasmagoriana 2, happening on Friday, September the 13th, 2019.
Have you ever had dreams (or nightmares) of writing an original scary, spooky, creepy, or just plain weird story in a haunted house? This is your chance to do just that in the historical Dalnavert House in downtown Winnipeg! We then plan to launch a chapbook of the new work on Halloween night.
Submission Guidelines: Please provide an artist resume as well as a writing sample of a gothic, horror, weird, or spooky story (15 page maximum). Sample stories can be either published or unpublished. Documents should be attached as either a doc or pdf file. One submission per person please.

Due to the number of submissions, only authors chosen to participate in Fantasmagoriana 2 will be contacted.

DISCLAIMER: Authors selected to be part of Fantasmagoriana 2 must commit to attending both Fantasmagoriana events (overnight stay on September 13, 2019, and chapbook launch on October 31, 2019), and will be responsible for their own transportation. Authors will begin an original story during the overnight stay in Dalnavert House and will be required to complete a revised and fully realized draft of the story in time for it to be printed for the October 31 event. Final deadline will be communicated to the chosen authors. Stories will be published by the WIWF in a one-time, limited-run printed chapbook; the WIWF Festival has first-printing rights to the story but all other copyright remains with the author. Selected authors will not receive royalties, but will receive an honorarium for appearing at both events.
