Jean Boisjoli

Jean Boisjoli was born and raised in St-Boniface, Manitoba. He lives in the Ottawa area and has lived in Montréal, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, as well as Port-au-Prince, Haïti, where he worked on reforming justice. Jean has published five books. His novel  La mesure du temps  Won the Trillium Book Award and was short listed for the Ottawa Book Award. His latest novel, Moi, Sam. Elle, Janis, was short listed for the Trillium and is a finalist for the upcoming Ottawa Book Award. Jean’s works often have Manitoba as a setting. In 2018, France awarded Jean a two month writer’s residency in Burgundy. He has been invited to various book events in Montréal, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Haïti and France. He is working on two novels, one set in the US Mid-West and the other in France.
