Trevor Cole

Trevor Cole was a columnist with the Globe and Mail for nearly fifteen years, and his journalism has won nine National Magazine awards. His novels have been shortlisted for numerous prizes, including the Governor General’s Literary Award, the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize for Best First Book, and the Rogers’ Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize. His darkly comic novel Practical Jean won the Leacock Medal for Humour. His latest book, The Whisky King (HarperCollins Canada), is his first foray into non-fiction, and tells the intersecting story of two Italian Canadians, one of Canada’s biggest bootleggers of the Prohibition era, and Canada’s first undercover Mountie. Trevor Cole lives in Toronto.
