Natalie Appleton

Natalie Appleton is graduate of the University of Regina School of Journalism and holds an MA in Creative Writing from City University London, UK. In her former life as a journalist, she worked at newspapers across the prairies, including the Lethbridge Herald and the Medicine Hat News, while her stories have appeared in publications around the world, including The New York Times. Her story “Fourth Son of Fourth Wife” was longlisted for the 2016 CBC Creative Non-fiction Contest, and she is this year’s recipient of the Prairie Fire/Banff Centre Bliss Carman Poetry Award for her poem, “Annie Pootoogook.” Natalie Appleton lives in Vernon, BC.
