Kevin Chong

Kevin Chong has published novels and non-fiction, including a popular study of the career of music legend Neil Young and a biography of the Canadian racehorse Northern Dancer. His latest novel, The Plague (Anvil Press), is a retelling of Albert Camus’ 1947 classic. The Vancouver Sun calls it “a successful experiment in storytelling and an homage to one of the 20th century’s major novels… Taken together, the two novels reflect on fundamental questions of mortality and death, human connection, solidarity and estrangement. Highly recommended.” Born in Hong Kong, he was raised in Vancouver where he presently lives. He teaches at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University’s The Writer’s Studio.
