AJ Somerset

AJ Somerset has been a soldier, a technical writer, a programmer, and a freelance photographer. His non-fiction has appeared in numerous outdoor magazines in Canada and the United States, and his articles have been translated into French and Japanese. Combat Camera (biblioasis), his first novel, follows a burned-out photo-journalist as he adjusts to life away from war zones. It is this year’s winner of the Metcalf-Rooke Award, and John Metcalf calls it “one of the finest Canadian novels I have ever read.” Somerset lives in London, Ontario.
