Maureen Fergus

Maureen Fergus she studied science and business in university, but began writing after her first child was born. She has written several novels for middle grade and young adult readers, including Ortega which won the McNally Robinson Book for Young People Award. She has captured the hearts of young readers with her zany picture books, many of which have been translated into other languages and nominated for awards. This year, Maureen releases three picture books: Buddy and Earl Meet the Neighbors (Groundwood), The Day Dad Joined my Soccer Team (Kids Can), and The Reptile Club (Kids Can). Fergus lives in Winnipeg.
