which she left at the age of seventeen. She studied English Literature at the Universities of Manitoba and Toronto, and has taught Canadian Literature and Creative Writing at the Universities of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Alberta, Windsor, and Brandon. Her publications have received much recognition, including the Gerald Lampert Award, McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award, CAA National Poetry Prize, Trillium Book Award, and the Pat Lowther Award. Her latest collection of poetry, Glitter and Fall, is an ecstatic invocation of the divine feminine. Brandt lives in Winnipeg, and is the inaugural Winnipeg Poet Laureate.
