Bill Gaston

Bill Gaston is the acclaimed author of numerous novels and story collections. His work has been nominated for the Governor General’s Award for Fiction and the Scotiabank Giller Prize, and his most recent novel, The World, won the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize. In 2002, he was the inaugural recipient of the Writers’ Trust of Canada’s Timothy Findley Award for his body of work. His latest book, Just Let Me Look at You (Penguin Random House), is a warm, insightful memoir about alcohol, fishing, and fathers and sons. Bill Gaston teaches in the Writing Department at the University of Victoria, and lives in Gordon Head, BC.
