Paul Yee

Writer and historian Paul Yee was born in Spalding, SK, and grew up in Vancouver. He is the author of many books for children, including Ghost Train, winner of the Governor General’s Award. Last year he published Chinese Fairy Tale Feasts: A Literary Cookbook (Tradewind), a delightful hybrid of fables and recipes written with Judy Chan and illustrated by Shaoli Wang. This year sees his first novel written for adults: A Superior Man (Arsenal Pulp) is a deeply felt account of the Chinese railway experience in 19^th-century British Columbia. Winner of the Vicky Metcalf Award from the Writers’ Trust of Canada, Yee lives in Toronto.
