K. I. Press

K.I. Press was born in Peace River, Alberta, and grew up on an acreage in the area, later moving to Peace River and then to Edmonton. She is the author of four books of poetry, including Pale Red Footprints, Spine, and Types of Canadian Women. Her newest, Exquisite Monsters (Turnstone Press), is a viciously witty, fearlessly weird exploration of motherhood and mourning, biomechanical androids, and pop culture myths. She has worked in the book publishing industry in Toronto and Winnipeg, and now teaches communications and creative writing at Red River College. Press lives in Winnipeg.
