Elizabeth Hay

Elizabeth Hay has written several award-winning books, including A Student of Weather, finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the Ottawa Book Award; Garbo Laughs, winner of the Ottawa Book Award and a finalist for the Governor General’s Award; and Late Nights on Air, winner of the Scotiabank Giller Prize. Her latest novel, His Whole Life (McClelland & Stewart), is an unconventional coming-of-age story, set in the 1990s, about the pivotal years in a young boy’s life. Formerly a radio broadcaster, Hay spent a number of years in Mexico and New York City before returning to Canada. She lives in Ottawa.
