Hailing originally from Yellowknife NT, Shane Koyczan is one of the world’s premier spoken word artists. His performances have electrified audiences in New York, London, Edinburgh, Sydney, Auckland, and Los Angeles, and he has been featured on BRAVO television, NPR, the BBC, CBC, and ABC (Australia). He was the first poet from outside the USA to win the prestigious USA National Individual Poetry Slam. His first published collection, Visiting Hours, appeared on the Best Books of the Year lists of both The Guardian and The Globe and Mail. His new book, Stickboy (House of Parlance), is a gritty portrayal of bullying. Shane Koyczan lives in Penticton BC.
