Stacey Matson

Stacey Matson a obtenu un baccalauréat en beaux-arts et théâtre à l’Université de Calgary et une maîtrise en arts (littérature pour enfants) de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique. Elle est l’artiste en résidence au Berton House à Dawson City (Yukon) pour l’hiver de 2017. Son livre A Year in the Life of a Total and Complete Genius (2014) a débuté la trilogie d’Arthur Bean, qui a tant capté l’imagination des jeunes de toutes les régions du Canada. Scenes from the Epic Life of a Total Genius a été présélectionné pour le prix MYRCA en 2017. Elle vit à Vancouver.

 

Stacey Matson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at the University of Calgary and an MA in Children’s Literature from the University of British Columbia. She is a creative writing mentor with the Writers’ Exchange in Vancouver and was writer-in-residence at the Berton House in Dawson City, Yukon. She has held various positions in the arts across the country, including Parliamentary Tour Program Manager and Education Outreach Manager at the Library of Parliament in Ottawa, and Interpreter at the Vancouver Aquarium. The third volume in her popular Arthur Bean trilogy for young readers is Notes from the Life of a Total Genius (Scholastic). She lives in Vancouver.
