Catherine Leroux

Catherine Leroux was born in Montreal, where she still lives. After holding various jobs she became a journalist and devoted herself to writing. Her first book, Marche en forêt, was shortlisted for the Prix des libraires du Québec. Her second book, Le mur mitoyen, won the prestigious Prix littéraire France-Québec. Madame Victoria, released last year, is rooted in Montreal’s Victoria Hospital. Le mur mitoyen has now been translated into English by Lazer Lederhendler as The Party Wall (biblioasis). Featuring siblings linked in surprising ways, the novel is a surreal journey through the barriers that can both separate us and bring us together.
