Creating the Most Effective Characters for Your Fiction, with Suzette Mayr
In this workshop we will explore ways to find and develop fictional characters in what is often a sea of possibilities. They’re all your favourite children, but which one is the one and why? How can techniques such as naming and character motivation help pin down a character? Through writing exercises and discussion of craft, this workshop will help students delve into how to create unique, generative characters and how an ideal character can help unlock further elements of story.
