Speaking Crow is back and going virtual! August guest poet? Sarah Ens!

Welcome to Speaking Crow the Virtual Edition! Just as before, we will be meeting the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm, this time via ZOOM.

We have two registration options:

1)Register to be part of an enthusiastic Speaking Crow audience, and receive a ZOOM link to attend.

2)Register to be one of the open mic readers, and receive a ZOOM link to attend. Limit 25, first-come-first-served.

Registration for both options will remain open until 7:15pm.

Featured Guest:

Our August edition is featuring Sarah Ens. Sarah is a writer and editor based in Treaty 6 territory. Her writing has appeared in literary journals such as Prairie Fire, Arc Poetry Magazine, and Poetry Is Dead. In 2019, she won The New Quarterly’s Edna Staebler Personal Essay Contest and placed 2nd in Contemporary Verse 2’s 2-Day Poem Contest. She also won first place in Room Magazine’s Short Forms Contest in 2018. Her debut collection of poetry, The World Is Mostly Sky, came out this spring with Turnstone Press. She is currently completing her MFA in Writing at the University of Saskatchewan.
