A Putting Down of Roots: CV2 40th Anniversary

Help celebrate 40 years of poetry in Winnipeg! CV2–formally Contemporary Verse 2: The Canadian Journal of Poetry and Critical Writing–continues to embody the vision of its founder, the intrepid poet Dorothy Livesay: to present wide-ranging poetry and thoughtful essays about it. Current editor Clarise Foster and her team are unabashed poetry advocates, and the magazine is a Canadian treasure. To help celebrate this milestone, CV2 teams up with UW’s Gallery 1C03 for “A Putting Down of Roots.” Enjoy readings by two award-winning poets: long-time Winnipegger Lori Cayer, and city newcomer Garry Thomas Morse.
