Here & There: Poetry Slam – Youth Slam Open Mic

Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Archived

Poetry slams are a rising form of DIY entertainment among
young spoken word enthusiasts across the contintent. The rules
are simple: a three-minute time limit, and all words—no props
or musical accompaniment. The audience votes right then and
there. It‘s fun, loud, intense, personal, amazing, and occasionally
squirm inducing!

If you’re one of the city’s young slammers (22 and under), step
up to the mic and share your three minutes of blistering brilliance
or mellifluous musing. If you don’t fit in that age group,
come and be part of the audience—that role is crucial too!
