Calling all mystery buffs! Join us at the Park Theatre, on Osborne
near Jubilee, for an afternoon of serious mayhem. The Park serves
pints (or lattes if that’s your preference) and food too. There’s
ample parking in the neighborhood, and the #16 bus travels
frequently on Saturdays.

This year we’re pairing up Canada’s mystery maven Gail
Bowen with Winnipeg’s own inimitable CC Benison.

In The Gifted, the fourteenth book of her Joanne Kilbourn
series, Gail Bowen’s sleuth finds her family getting drawn into a
web of infidelity, addiction, and manipulation. We’ll also meet
Charlie D, the rough-and-ready radio announcer from her Rapid
Reads series, racing against the clock to save vulnerable women in
The Thirteenth Rose.

CC Benison established his Father Christmas series as a fan
favourite when Twelve Drummers Drumming, the first in the series,
was chosen as last year’s Manitoba Reads winner. In Eleven Pipers
Piping, Father Tom Christmas, the vicar, is back sorting out dark
secrets after a death at the annual Robbie Burns dinner.

After their readings, Bowen and Benison will chat on-stage
with Festival Director Charlene Diehl.

Tickets are $5, available at the door.
